Consultant, Broker and Professional Services
Ozarks Technical Community College selects professional services in accordance with OTC Policy 6.35, Selection of Professional Services. The complete text of this policy is contained in Section 6.35 of the Ozarks Technical Community College Policy and Procedures Manual. These services may include among others, consultants, engineers, architects, land surveyors, accountants, analysts, lawyers, and physicians. OTC has established procedures to select professionals on the basis of qualifications and competence at a reasonable fee. For long-term contracts (multi-year) for professional services or those exceeding $15,000 the College President or the President’s designee will appoint a selection committee of three or more OTC employees. Board of Trustee members may be requested to serve on a committee formed for major projects.
Committee duties shall include a compilation of a list of persons or firms capable of per forming the required services; requesting or soliciting an appropriate number of persons or firms from the list; and inviting their response for in formation, qualifications and ability to per form the services. This request should define the scope of work, provide a project schedule if appropriate, and indicate the closing date and time for the response. The most qualified person(s) or firm(s) is then invited to make a presentation or be interviewed. The fee and contractual fee will be negotiated and a recommendation made to the College President or his designee for award.
