The OTC Early Childhood Education Center, located at 910 N. Hampton, provides quality childcare for students, faculty and staff of OTC, as well as the community. It is a not-for-profit organization, licensed by the State of Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Bureau of Child Care, for children ages 2 - 5.

The Center features experienced teachers with degrees in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. As a training facility for the OTC Early Childhood Development program, students help maintain a low child-to-teacher ratio. Parents, teachers and staff work together to provide a positive learning experience for each child, enhancing a positive self image and self-esteem.

The Center’s curriculum is enhanced through planned activities which encourage and stimulate the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development of each child in a safe, secure, nurturing atmosphere. There are opportunities for exploration and discovery in a wide variety of activities such as music, creative expression, cooking, dramatic play, storytelling, sensory, and computers.

Indoor and outdoor experiences enhance the development and coordination of large and small muscles. The teachers model appropriate social interactions which help the children develop self confidence in their relationships.

Parents are welcome to actively participate in their child’s learning experience through voluntary participation in classroom activities, classroom visits, parent-teacher meetings, and as parent representatives on the Parent Advisory Committee.
